Finally A Post

I can't believe it has been almost a whole year since I have posted anything. I finally have a day off. Yeah!!! Life has been a whirlwind lately. I have changed jobs and kids are growing up fast. My sister is finally getting her baby this Friday (She has been waiting for 5 years) and she will be a wonderful Mom since she helped to raise my children. My Dad was diagnosed with a rare form of ALS. Is is called PLS "Primary Lateral Sclerosis. It has been really hard to see him frustrated. Today is his 71st Birthday. I love him so much and he has been a hugh part of my life. I would not be were I am today with out him. I admire my Mom so much. She is the strongest women I know. She is still trying to work as a nurse in ICU three days a week for 12 hour days and then is taking care of my Dad which is a full-time job. I wish I was more like her. I know this has been hard on her but she never complains. I am grateful for my brothers and sister for all helping us take care of him. We take turns on the days my Mom works. It helps so much when everyone pitches in. Enough rambling and feeling sorry for myself. Everyone has trials to go through.



Dawson is preparing to get his drivers license this month. I am not sure how I feel about that. He is a good driver but I am not ready to let go yet. (teeheehee) He is in the 10th grade and doing pretty well. I am grateful for the choices he makes and what a great kid he is.

Samantha is my beautiful daughter. She is in the 8th grade and a great student. She has been on the Honor Roll the entire time she has been in middle school. She also makes awesome choices and is very strong in what she believes in. I love the example she is to me. I have been truly blessed to have both of my children.

I am so grateful to be serving the Young Women's program. I love the girls I teach and care so much for them. I also love being in the youth program with both my children.



I am also grateful for my Husband and all he does for me. He has put up with a lot of emotional and physical stress and tries to stay patient. He has picked up a lot of slack at home. I would be totally lost without him.

Dawson and Samantha had thier end of year performance last evening. They both did great! I am very proud of them both. Dawson has been playing the Trumpet for three years now and Samantha started the Violin this year. Keep up the good work. Love you!

Friday morning (May 22nd, 2009) we were pleased to attend an award ceremony at the school. Samantha was honored for her grades and being a great student. He was one of eight from her grade. She doesn't like attention but she did fairly well. We love her and appreciate her. She is so good at getting her work done when it is first assigned and not waiting for the last minute.

Workshop projects for May:

WOW! What a Week.

It all started on Monday the 4th. After work and the kids got home from school we took off to Idaho Falls for my nieces wedding. We drove Brad's parents so it turned into a three day trip. We got to Idaho Falls that evening and got settled into the hotel. The kids had fun swimming.

Then next morning we got up and got ready for the wedding. We had to be to the temple by 11:00 a.m. It was a very nice ceremony. Britney and Blake seemed very happy. The marriage was performed by Elder Groberg. After the ceremony we went outside for photos.





The weather was perfect. We could not have asked for better. After the photos we went to Garcia's for the luncheon. Of course, it was Cinco De Mayo. We went back to the hotel for some rest before the reception.

The reception was amazing. It was held in an old church that had been restored from the early 1900's. The kids had a blast because of all the hidden passages. There was a bell tower hidden behind the bookshelves. It was way fun. They also had the biggest chocolate fountain I have ever seen. It was a very nice day!

The next day we got up, had breakfast and prepared to go home. We decided to go see the Titanic exhibit that was in town before we took off. It was really cool. It is amazing how they can preserve everything and make you feel like you were really there. After that we decided to head home. It took forever!. We stopped in Brigham City and had a late lunch/early dinner at Maddox. (Brad's Mom's favorite place) Then we were off again.

We got home later that evening. We were exhausted.

The rest of the week was spent getting ready for Mother's Day. We did lots and lots of yard work and visiting with family members. It was nice but way to busy. It is time to relax. Hope you all had a great Mother's Day and all is well.
