Samantha is "Panther of the Quarter"
Friday morning (May 22nd, 2009) we were pleased to attend an award ceremony at the school. Samantha was honored for her grades and being a great student. He was one of eight from her grade. She doesn't like attention but she did fairly well. We love her and appreciate her. She is so good at getting her work done when it is first assigned and not waiting for the last minute.
Way To Go Sam!!

WOW! What a Week.
It all started on Monday the 4th. After work and the kids got home from school we took off to Idaho Falls for my nieces wedding. We drove Brad's parents so it turned into a three day trip. We got to Idaho Falls that evening and got settled into the hotel. The kids had fun swimming.
Then next morning we got up and got ready for the wedding. We had to be to the temple by 11:00 a.m. It was a very nice ceremony. Britney and Blake seemed very happy. The marriage was performed by Elder Groberg. After the ceremony we went outside for photos.
The weather was perfect. We could not have asked for better. After the photos we went to Garcia's for the luncheon. Of course, it was Cinco De Mayo. We went back to the hotel for some rest before the reception.
The reception was amazing. It was held in an old church that had been restored from the early 1900's. The kids had a blast because of all the hidden passages. There was a bell tower hidden behind the bookshelves. It was way fun. They also had the biggest chocolate fountain I have ever seen. It was a very nice day!
The next day we got up, had breakfast and prepared to go home. We decided to go see the Titanic exhibit that was in town before we took off. It was really cool. It is amazing how they can preserve everything and make you feel like you were really there. After that we decided to head home. It took forever!. We stopped in Brigham City and had a late lunch/early dinner at Maddox. (Brad's Mom's favorite place) Then we were off again.
We got home later that evening. We were exhausted.
The rest of the week was spent getting ready for Mother's Day. We did lots and lots of yard work and visiting with family members. It was nice but way to busy. It is time to relax. Hope you all had a great Mother's Day and all is well.

My Dad
My Dad has been an anchor in my life. He has taught me so much and has been such an inspiration to me. About 5 years ago he started having some problems and after a whole bunch of tests, they are pretty sure that he has ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. This has been really hard to watch. My Dad had always been so strong and the one I could call for anything.
I am grateful for the time I have had with my Dad. I have had many opportunities to work with him and spend time with him. I followed in his footsteps by attending Snow College and loved it. We worked together in the summers at Fetzer's while I was growing up and then got to work for several years together at Dunford's. I loved having lunch with him and seeing him everyday.
He taught me to love music and pursue my talents. He has always been there to support me in all my performances. He helped me through my divorce when things were tough. I knew I could always call him. My Mom and my Dad are my best friends.
One of my favorite memories is when, my Dad would watch Home Alone. I would laugh harder at him laughing then at the movie. His whole body shakes when he laughs. His laugh is very contagious.
I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to my Father. I get to two days a week with him and help him do the things that he can't anymore. His attitude amazed me. I love him so much and am not looking forward to saying goodbye. I don't want him to suffer but I also don't want to let go either. At least I know that he will be welcomed back home by many others who love him as much as I do. I will be a very happy time for him.
I LOVE YOU DAD!

Our Celebration!
Our weekend started with Brad bringing me home flowers. I love roses and he said one was for every year we have known each other. He is such a romantic. Then on the morning of our anniversary we went to breakfast and then went shopping. You have to understand this is not one of Brad's favorite things to do. (Teeheehee) He actually gets quite stressed. We went to 7 different furniture stores and looked at a lot of furniture. He is so cute because we talked about going back to Hawaii for our 10th but we decided we would get new furniture instead and stay close by. We have needed bedroom furniture for awhile but it always got put off. We found a lot of different ones we liked but finally found one we both loved. Then he even surprised me with a new mattress set as well. I can't wait for Tuesday afternoon when it will be delivered. Yeah!!! From there we picked up one of my favorite foods (Caferio) and took it with us. He wouldn't tell me where we were going and said it was a surprise. He had reserved a room at "The Anniversary Inn". We stayed in the "Phantom of the Opera" Room. It was so awesome. He even brought the movie to watch while we were there.
It was a wonderful weekend and we even got to spend Easter with the kids! I have to admit that is was nice to get away, however I did miss Dawson and Samantha. I can't wait for another 10 years to pass. I love being married and love being a wife and mother. I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for the many blessings in my life.

Our 10 Year Anniversary
This is us ten years ago.
Our Handsome Ring bearer
Our Beautiful Flower Girl
What I remember the most is Brad came to pick me up really early in the morning. He was so nervous that he accidentally hit the panic button instead of the unlock button on the car. The neighbors knew we were up and moving. Teeheehee! We had so many fun times that day. Brad is so funny and during the ceremony he kept looking at his watch. (He wanted to know the exact time we were married.) The sealer finally asked him if there was somewhere he needed to be. We could not stop laughing. Every year he asks me again at the exact time we were married. (8:47 a.m.) He is so cute! I am excited for this year. He has made some plans and won't share them with me. He just keeps saying it is going to be a surprise! I can't wait.
